Today we were flying out to visit friends in California. We last visited our friends in 2010 so couldn't wait to see them.
After arriving on a long flight and being collected at the airport we had a little nap and awoke to the lovely smell of Mexican food.
Homemade guacamole with fresh Californian avocados are the best way to start a vacation.
Being in the O.C the next day we decided to go for a hike and get a good view of Laguna Beach and surrounding area.
The sea is so colourful and the beaches are amazing

The hills were hard work so we decided to go back and have a BBQ.
Where we were met by a familiar British friend
and played a great game called Kan Jam
You have to throw a frisbee into the bin to win
Which Peter ended up losing
We had a growler of local craft beer to celebrate
And ate amazing steamed artichoke with Aioli dip
And homemade burgers with avocado.
A great first day in California.
